ALL SAINTS` MEMORIAL CHURCH
Youth Activities

We are committed to our youth and seek to include them in all of
the liturgical, educational and social aspects of the life of the parish.
Acolytes
Many of our young people serve at God`s altar as acolytes (altar boys and girls). We welcome any boy or girl over 8 years old to become an acolyte and encourage all of them to take part in this very important ministry. It teaches them that even as children they are a very important part of the liturgical life of the church and helps develop an understanding and reverence of worship.
Sunday School
Sunday School is an important part of the religious education of our children. The children meet for lessons in the parish hall (downstairs from the church) from the Sunday after Labor Day to the Sunday before Memorial Day. There are classes for children beginning at age 3. Our very committed Sunday School teachers do a great job teaching the children about God, their faith and their church. Class sessions begin at 10:00 a.m. and last approximately 35 to 40 minutes. The children are then welcomed to join the adults in the church for the remainder of the service and to receive Holy Communion with their families. Teenagers meet with Father Jim and his wife, Barbara Fox, for afternoon or evening sessions to discuss issues of faith and religion that affect the lives of our young adults in today's increasingly complex world.
Youth Social Activities
This year all events will be held on Sunday afternoon. Parents who are willing to chaperone and provide transportation should speak to Father Jim. Please note that most events are appropriate for all age groups. Also please note the service projects that are scheduled. Youth must take part in the service projects if they want to attend the fun events unless they are excused because of scheduling conflicts. Also, since we have such varying likes and dislikes about food and where to eat, we are asking that you bring a bag lunch to church with you on these days except for the June and July events.
