Worship and Liturgical Calendar

As a liturgical denomination, worship is central to the life of all Episcopal churches. The Principal Service of the church is Holy Eucharist which is celebrated at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on Sunday morning and on the Principal Feast Days of the Church. On the first Sunday of each month from October to May the parish youth take on most of the lay leadership roles at the 10:00 a.m. service. They read the lessons, serve as greeters, take and present the offering, and assist Father Jim in delivering an interactive sermon. Throughout the year we also hold special services of Evensong and seasonal Lessons and Carols and special services for Holy Week. We welcome all people, regardless of denomination, to receive Holy Communion at God`s altar.

The choir sings at the 10 o`clock service from mid-September through June. Services eaturing special music such as Evensong and seasonal and holiday celebrations of Holy Eucharist are held throughout the year. Our choir director is Dr. Barry Turley, an accomplished musician and teacher. The choir sings a wide range of music from composers such as Bach, Mendelssohn, Handel, Palestrina and Rutter, to name just a few. We welcome new members. The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
